Jarred and Cassie had their entire wedding planned down to a T and ended up being one of the most personalized and beautiful weddings I have ever covered. Keep your eyes open through the post for little tidbits about the details and what they mean to Jarred and Cassie.... Pretty much everything has a meaning!

Jarred and Cassie contacted us last April about their big day. The funny thing was, they weren't even really engaged yet! But a few months later, Jarred proposed and the story of their engagement is just SO cute we can't help but share with you all! Here it is in Cassie's own words! -  On July 6th, 2012 Jarred came up to Boulder for the weekend. He cooked me the first meal he had made me when he asked me to be his girlfriend: lamb and cheddar grits. Halfway through dinner he presented me with a box (that looked much like a ring box, quite the heart stopping move) which had 2 diamond earrings in it. (I later learned that the earrings were pieces from my ring) Jarred then took me to the bar at the Hyatt which overlooked Denver and its city lights. There we enjoyed some fancy cocktails and had a s'mores fondue. The following weekend, July 13th (yes Friday the 13th) Jarred asked me to go on my very first night flight with him (he is a certified private pilot). We took off from Rocky Mountain Metro Airport and flew over Denver to see the city lights. Upon being near the heart of Denver, Jarred asked me to marry him! After landing he got down on one knee and asked me again (the proper way). I could not have asked for a better proposal, 2 weekends of pure bliss and happiness! My ring has Aquamarine and Amethyst stones beside the diamond; those are Jarred and I's birthstones and further symbolize us coming together as one. 

Jarred and Cassie were married at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church near the CU Boulder Campus where Jarred and Cassie graduated the week before! Their reception spot at the Red Lion Restaurant was originally built and established in 1870! It is located just a few miles out of Boulder in the gorgeous Boulder Canyon right along the Boulder Creek!

Some couples think that they have known each other for a long time... But Jarred and Cassie have known each other since PRESCHOOL! How crazy is that?

Their first dance was SO sweet, they couldn't help but sing along!

Cassie is a VERY animated person (photographer's dream) and I just LOVED her expressions during the Father + Daughter Dance! 

Jarred pulled out the dance moves with his Mom! They were just having a blast up there!

Jarred and Cassie had lawn games like Croquet, Ladder Toss and Bocce set up during the reception!

I love Anniversary Dances! They are beautiful! Jarred's parents look so sweet!

Cassie wasn't comfortable with the typical garter 'show' in front of all of their guests, so she set poor Jarred up for failure by blindfolding him and putting his brave best man in the chair!

The cake signifies the first time Jarred and Cassie spent time together - playing chess!

Jarred and Cassie were probably most excited about having their favorite local band play at the reception (besides getting married to each other of course)! I had been hearing about this band for months and after all of the build up and excitement, they were even better than I thought they would be and I already had high expectations! The Goonies are a fantastic European 80's cover-band. Their lead singer Ashley is the only adult woman that I know can pull off a tutu in public! She is an AMAZING vocalist and I loved her version of 99 Red Balloons! Check out their music on their website: http://www.thegoonies80s.com/

Jarred and Cassie's Wedding was incredible! We had such an amazing time and just loved the way all of their images turned out! There are many, many more - unfortunately  we cannot share them all! But we hope that you felt like you were there with us all!
